In Dear Denier we battle the issue of climate change every day. Our production is emission free and we aim to offset our carbon footprint throughout our entire value chain. Therefore, we've partnered with CHOOOSE, an organisation that makes businesses and individuals carbon balanced by investing in UN verified or Gold Standard CO2-reducing projects in developing countries - like hydro power in Laos and windpower in Vietnam. This creates the most effective combat to climate change - the fastest.
How does this actually work?
For every product sold we offset 200 grams of CO2 - which is more than enough to go neutral - through funding the the Bac Lieu Wind Farm on the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. This amounts to off-setting approximately 20+ tonnes of CO2 the first year. This particular project reduces the emissions of greenhouse gases by replacing electricity generated from fossil fuel with zero emissions electricity from windpower. It is expected that the power plant, will result in a reduction of 143,761 tonnes of CO2 on average per year when it is fully operational.
